Memorial Mass Planned for Pope Francis Author: Diocese of Fall River Press Releases and Statements 21 Apr 2025 Share FALL RIVER — A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in honor of Pope Francis in the Diocese of Fall River at 7 p.m., on Monday, April 28, in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Fall River. All are welcome to attend the Mass to remember and give thanks for the ministry of Pope Francis and to pray for the peaceful repose of his soul. Pope Francis died on Easter Monday, April 21, in Rome at the age of 88. Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., will be the celebrant of the Memorial Mass and homilist. St. Mary’s Cathedral is located at 327 Second Street in Fall River. The Memorial Mass will be livestreamed on the Our Lady of Fall River website at olfallriver.com/watch.
